Project Objectives
this project will address is the economic deprivation of the families who live in a poor and vulnerable state, of whom the most affected are the women. Lack of skills to sufficiently engage in income generation programmes is also a major cause for hammering the women’s development. Besides, those women with skills are experiencing hardship to avail financial support in proportionate to their volume of their preferred trades. Due to their individualistic entrepreneurship, they lack the collective voice to effectively enter into open markets. Inconsistent employment, unskilled and problematic income generation programmes have a serious economic crunch on the lives of the poor and marginalised women.
a. To establish 10 training center with all facilities
b. Tocreate self-employment opportunities to less privilegedwomen by introducing Tailoring.
c. To provide skills on tailoring and garment making to women to generate additional income to meet their livelihood.
d. To enable the improvement of socio – economic and cultural status of women.
e. To promote awareness and participation in family responsibilities.
f. To provide skilled manpower to the industry to establish garment units in Ramanathapuram.
g. To attract investment of garment industry to utilize the human resources of rural areas and prevent migration.
